Discover Renwicks Cafe: A Charming Retreat in St Just in Roseland

Nestled in the picturesque village of St Just in Roseland, Renwicks Cafe is more than just a spot to grab a quick bite—it's a delightful experience steeped in warmth and community spirit. This quaint café offers a variety of homemade dishes perfect for any time of the day, making it an ideal stop for both locals and those exploring the scenic beauty of the area.

The moment you step inside Renwicks, the inviting aroma of freshly brewed coffee and baked goods envelops you, hinting at the culinary treasures that await. Customers rave about their fantastic tomato and lentil soup, served alongside a fluffy cheese scone that is nothing short of heavenly. The café's signature dish, the smoked fish pie, is packed with generous chunks of fish and prawns, making each bite a burst of flavor that you won't forget. As one delighted customer, Gary Ellis, noted, even those who typically shy away from tomato soup will find it to be wonderfully comforting, especially on a dreary day.

With both indoor and outdoor seating, friends and families can relish meals in a tranquil environment that encourages relaxation. The backdrop of the café is complemented by soft music, creating the perfect atmosphere to enjoy a classic cream tea or the roasted vegetable and goat's cheese salad with a hint of chilli jam, highly recommended by Jane Milne. It’s these moments—savoring delicious food while soaking in the charming views of the surrounding greenery—that make Renwicks a true gem in this coastal village.

But don’t take our word for it; the reviews speak volumes. As Melita Wood shared, the café is a "lovely relaxing atmosphere" that keeps guests coming back for more. Whether you're stopping by during a stroll from St Mawes to the local church, or simply looking for a cozy spot to unwind, Renwicks Cafe delivers on all fronts. And if you have a sweet tooth, the irresistible rocky road and flavorsome ice cream are sure to satisfy!

If you’re seeking a delightful dining experience, make Renwicks Cafe a must-visit on your next trip to St Just in Roseland. Indulge in homemade creations, surrounded by friendly faces in an enchanting setting—it's a local treasure that captures the heart of every visitor.

Highly recommend, tasty tomato and lentil soup with a cheese scone and a fish pie. Lovely relaxing atmosphere and music. Wonderful coffee. We will be back again.

There is a great walk from St Mawes to St Just in Roseland and after seeing the prettiest church in England, you may want a cream tea. Well, step up Renwicks. Indoor and lots of outdoor seating. You'll find cakes, salads, cream teas and snacks. Just what you need halfway round the walk. Currently, it is next to a small building site, which you just ignore (the church is building an Interpretation Centre). It is dog friendly, has a toilet and free fresh water. Sit down, relax then rush back for the Falmouth ferry.

Our first visit since a change of name and I assume a change of ownership also. We had a delicious smoked fish pie full of flavour and large chunks of mixed fish and prawns and hard boiled eggs. Really lovely. And also the tomato and lentil soup with a cheese scone all homemade. I don't really like tomato soup but this was wonderful and tasty especially on a wet dreary day. Great cup of coffee too. We will be back! Make sure to visit the St Just in Roseland church which is very picturesque.

An absolute gem of a find! Quaint setting, brilliant choice of menu for a light bite, sensible prices and warm and friendly staff. Highly recommend the Roasted vegetable and goat's cheese salad with chilli jam. Delicious The cream tea was perfect too. Who could ask for more??

A tea shop with some choice of lunch and breakfast dishes as well. What could be better than somewhere like this before or after a walk (or, in our case, both!)? Answer: somewhere with seating inside or out, friendly service, a bright clean environment, lots of parking and the most delicious home made food I've tasted for a long time. Oh, yes, that's all on offer here. Sadly the cafe will close later in October until the new year due to building work nearby , so get there while you can.
